Writing in Japanese, English and Chinese, Lia Wu returns to psychological tension, solitude, afterimages, taboo, memory, obsession, desire, and cycles of death and rebirth. Her songs resist a fixed narrative; their meaning shifts with the memories and experiences each listener brings.
